Jack Gutt Jack Gutt has more than 13 years of experience counseling global companies, non-profit organizations and governments on crisis and issues management, corporate positioning, transactions and communications strategy. Jack is an expert at helping his clients prepare for and deal with complex issues and situations that have serious financial, operational and reputation implications. Jack has counseled leading companies and organizations in a wide range of industries including health care, financial and professional services, heavy industry, energy and retail. Clients have included Shell Chemical, American Express, Freddie Mac, Kerzner International, Enbridge Energy, the NASDAQ Stock Market, among others. After a brief stint as a journalist, Jack began his consulting career working for the Presidency of the Republic of Ecuador on its privatization and modernization program. After leaving the Presidency, Jack remained in the region for two years working with JWT, advising multinationals doing business in Latin America as well as several political candidates during three electoral cycles. In 1998, Jack moved to South Florida where he managed and helped to establish Hill & Knowlton's office, working closely with the firm's vast network in the U.S., Europe and Latin America. Before joining Kreab in June of 2008, Jack spent the previous eight years in New York, where he served as Managing Director at Hill & Knowlton and at Financial Dynamics, and was one of the founding principals of Vistance Group LLC, a communications advisory that represented global companies and organizations from 2001 to 2007. While at Vistance, Jack developed a series of proprietary methodologies for crisis management and leadership communications. Over the years, Jack has served as an expert source on communications' issues for a variety of news organizations including CNN, CNBC, USA Today, ESPN.com and PR Week. He has been a featured speaker at the Legal Marketing Association's 20th Annual Conference and at the Risk and Insurance Management Society of Long Island, NY, as well as a guest lecturer at the Fordham University Business School. Jack holds degrees from Syracuse University in newspaper journalism and political science. |
